Patrick Shin is the owner of Nan Inc, a construction company based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Originally coming from South Korea, he immigrated to Hawaii to start his construction business. What started as a small business, has grown into a multi-million dollar business.

Heā€™s very grateful for the chances Hawaii has given him, and decided to give back to the community.

Below you will find an overview of the charities that are supported by the owner of Nan Inc.

Nan Inc. Donates $160,000 To Support Hawaiiā€™s Future Engineers

Patrick Shin, the owner of Nan Inc, has always wanted to support future engineers. This can be considered as a win-win for everyone.

In September 2020, the Oahu-based construction company Nan Inc donated $160,000 to fund the Nan, Inc. Scholarship in Engineering at the UH Mānoa College of Engineering.

This was of immense help to the students and future engineers studying at that college. You can learn more about it by visiting this website.

Patrick Shin and his team also give back to hospitals and medical facilities.

Patrick Shin has donated millions of dollars to medical facilities as well. For example, according to Pacific Business News, they have donated a $1M gift to the Waianae health center. This gift was totally unexpected but very well received from the staff working in the health center.

Nan Inc has been doing these types of donations for over 5 years. In 2016, there is another article that says that they donated a check of $1 million to the Kapiolani Medical Center. This check was donated to help pay for the hospitalā€™s expansion. The donation will be used to fund building a new auditorium and a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

These are just some examples of the charities that have been done by Nan Inc and its owner Patrick Shin.

Nan Inc Owner Patrick Shin has started his own Nan Inc Volunteering Club

But there is more. Nan Inc even started their own ā€˜ā€™Nan Inc Volunteering Clubā€™ā€™, where they help restore and fix things.

In February 2021, about 50 Nan Inc volunteers spent their Saturday morning working to help repair the Koko Crater Trail. A grassroots non-profit organization called the Kokonut Koalition is spearheading the effort to rebuild the former military tram line which has fallen into disrepair due to heavy use and erosion.

This is a very big deal, since a lot of these volunteers are experienced craft and tradesmen who know what they are doing. Other volunteers formed a human chain, and were passing buckets of gravel and large wooden beams up the mountain.

Whatā€™s next for the owner of Nan Inc?

Patrick Shin has helped many people through his volunteering projects. Itā€™s very likely that he will continue those efforts in the future.

He has helped people in many different sectors, and we personally love that he is giving back to the community.
