Many more people are turning vegan these days for all sorts of reasons – their religious beliefs, the environment or for their health. As a result of this, we are seeing a lot more vegan alternatives of favourite foods or snacks and this need for vegan is also the case in the CBD sphere. We received so many requests from our customers and retailers to bring out a CBD gummy vegan option. So, as they asked, we listened! After just a few months beavering away behind the scenes, we are pleased to say our CBD gummies vegan option has arrived. In this post, we wanted to tell you a bit more about our CBD gummies both vegan and non vegan and why we think we have some of the best CBD gummies for sale in the UK! 

We launched Paso because we wanted to bring a range of premium looking, delicious tasting CBD products into the UK market. With the explosion of stories in magazines of people benefitting from CBD, many more people are keen to try it, but are a little apprehensive due to its association with cannabis (“it can’t be legal, it’s cannabis!” or “I’m not a drug taker!”) and also because it can come in formats that are not as familiar to them. Many of the CBD brands in the UK we looked at before starting Paso played up to the weed association with marijuana leaves emblazoned all over the packaging or had a limited range of products only really selling CBD in the more traditional formats such as in a tincture or vapes. So it was really important to us that we created a range that had something for everyone – that appealed to both the CBD novice or the CBD connoisseur! 

We therefore developed a range of both CBD vape products and CBD edibles. We found that for those new to CBD, CBD edibles like our gummies or chocolate are the perfect entry into the world of CBD –  they are user friendly, not too strong and so are far more appealing for first timers! However, the selection of CBD edibles that were for sale in the UK hadn’t bothered to make their tasty treats actually tasty. If CBD newbies weren’t put off by the packaging, they most certainly were by the taste – biting into a rather dry or excessively sweet treat that had a very strong earthy and / or bitter aftertaste. 

This is where our selection of CBD edibles really stand out from the rest of the market. We put taste at the forefront of all our products – we want them to taste as good as their non-CBD counterparts: our CBD gummies to taste as good as any other sweet or gummy and our CBD chocolate to taste as good as any other chocolate. We also wanted to make sure that our packaging looked stylish and premium so as to attract non-CBD regulars to it on the shelves or in magazines!  We think that we have succeeded in this! But, what of our CBD edible gummies specifically, we know you want to hear more about that and our exciting new vegan batch! 

Well, we initially launched with non-vegan CBD gummies all made from natural fruit juices with no artificial flavouring or any additional sugars. They come in three different natural flavours: apple, cranberry and blueberry. Each gummy is 20mg which is much stronger than most CBD gummies for sale in the UK.  For our vegan CBD gummies, we used a slightly different formula and as such are a bit sweeter than our original batch meaning they are perfect if you have more of a sweet tooth. I’d liken our vegan CBD gummies to more of a legit sweet and the non-vegan gummies to more of a fruit leather. Our vegan CBD gummies are also slightly less strong than our original batch at 10mg per gummy.  As with our original CBD gummies, they come in three delicious flavours – apple, raspberry and pineapple – and have a lovely fresh fruity burst or tang with no underlying hemp or bitter taste. 

Important to remember that CBD edibles like our gummies will always take slightly longer for you to feel the effects of the CBD as the CBD has to pass through your digestive system before it is absorbed into the bloodstream. So always try (although I know it’s hard) to suck not chew for maximum absorption!
