Disney World is the park that everyone wants to go to. When you want a great way to stay ahead of the constant crowds, you should look into the Early Theme Park Entry. Before going do make a Disney World checklists so you don’t miss out on anything. This is Disney’s answer to the Extra Magic Hours.

When you want to take advantage of this sweet deal, you need to know that it is a hotel exclusive. Still, it is a true blessing for those who want to have a better vacation and avoid the overwhelming amount of people.

To get a good start on your next vacation, check out our guide to learn all about early entry into the parks.

How It Differs From The Extra Magic Hours

When you have early admission offerings, it can be easy to mix them up. However, the early entry and the Extra Magic Hours are pretty different. The Extra Magic Hours, or EMH, is generous with the time you can spend in the park, but the schedule used is confusing to people. With the EMH, you have specific days a week to go to a particular park, either two hours past the park’s closing time or one hour early. When you look at that fact, the EMH is the better option.

However, you have to think about the description that we used above. You have to go to a ‘particular’ park and can only do this on ‘certain’ days. If you want to do a specific park, you will have to wait until the timing becomes available. That usually means a Wednesday night or Friday in the morning rolled around.

For the early admission days, a massive number of guests from the hotel descended on the day’s park. That caused problems for the non-hotel guests that didn’t understand the subject to change the schedule. However, it created an opportunity for those that did.

Looking at the Early Theme Park Entry option, you can see that while it only gives you half an hour, it is better because you can use it anytime. That helps ensure that the crowds are spread more evenly.

What You Should Know About The Early Entry

Disney World’s early entry is the park’s newest way to get you in before the rest of the crowds. You can enter the park half an hour before the other park visitors any day of the week when you have the pass. Like the Extra Magic Hours, the early entry will work with your MagicBand Key to the world card or Disney MagicMobile Pass linked to your hotel reservation.

Because the lines for the main attractions such as Space Mountain or the Indiana Jones ride can get exceptionally long, and there is a lot to see, this could be a huge time-saver for you. That is especially beneficial when you have children. Small children can get extremely cranky when they wait in lines and get disheartened. Having an option that lets you beat the clock is a great way to keep them happier.

However, the best part is that if you decide to stay in the military hotel that Disney offers, you can still take advantage of this pass. You also can select hotels in the area, but you need to make sure before booking that it is one of the approved options.

Is The Disney Resort Early Entry Worth It?

Early entry into the park is worth it to many people, and when you find that it is complimentary with your room rate making it a fantastic freebie. If you aren’t planning on staying at one of the hotels above, the website doesn’t have this perk. For the best way to get into the parks early, you will find that booking a stay at the resorts is the best way. Most of the time, if you make a reservation at the deluxe resort or villas, the Swan or Dolphin hotels, the Swan Reserve, and the Shades of Green.

Can You Stay Later?

If you stay at the right resort, you can stay later at the parks. If you want to wait for the extended evening hours, they are exclusively available to the families staying at the deluxe villas or the deluxe resorts. If you remain in the following third-party hotels, you also have this option.

  • Shades of Green
  • The Dolphin and Swan Hotels
  • The Swan Reserve

The other issue with the extended evening hours is that they are only offered to guests at certain times during the week. It is much the same as the EMH.

What Is Open When You Come Early?

When you obtain the early entry, you’ll see that not everything is open. However, you shouldn’t lose heart as the best options are still available. You will also notice that some merchandise stalls and dining outlets have opened early. Though, it is advised that you skip these options and go straight for the rides instead.

The rides that will be open during the early hours are as follows.

Magic Kingdom

  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
  • Walt Disney’s Carousel Of Progress

Epcot

  • Frozen Ever After (the test track) plus Mission: Space
  • Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
  • Beauty and the Beast (sing-along)

Animal Kingdom Park

  • Avatar Flight of Passage (followed by Navi River Journey)
  • Tricera Top Spin

Hollywood Studios

  • Toy Story Land
  • Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
  • Rock n Roller Coaster
  • Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror

There are other rides open during this time and in every section mentioned above, but they have height restrictions or are only available with Genie+. Another piece of advice that will come in handy is to take the road less traveled. Everyone will want to go to the main ride, and if you follow suit, that may be the only one you get to experience. You should also show up thirty minutes before the early entry time as some sections let people in early.

Experience The Wonder Early

Disney World early entry is an attractive option if you want to gain access to your favorite rides and attractions without waiting in a long line. While others will have that same option, you can still avoid the crowds by first going for the less popular rides. While some might think that defeats the purpose of going in early, you’ll find that heeding this advice means that you may see two or three attractions if you hurry instead of just one.

In addition to this, you will be closer to the rides you like when the park officially opens, meaning that you can get ahead of the crowds. Avoid the passages known for having technical difficulties, and you can move quicker still. A little planning about where you want to go will help immensely.
