Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love, affection, and care. Although every day is special if you have your beloved by your side, there is something magical about this particular day. It is like feeling love in the air. You definitely can’t miss out on such an amazing occasion.

Even though you appreciate your significant other throughout the year, February 14 has become a day you can shamelessly shower them with chocolates, flowers, diamond jewellery and other gifts.

You must know about the history of Valentine’s Day. There are multiple stories that you may associate with this day, but one of the most popular ones is mentioned below.

The narrative begins in the third century. It was during this period that the Romans began to convert to Christianity. One of the stringent prohibitions on Roman Christians, imposed by Claudius II, the emperor at the time, was that they could not marry. He believed that by doing so, the Roman troops would be more committed to their duty to Rome.

Saint Valentine, a Catholic priest, was a staunch opponent. He began marrying these soldiers in covert ceremonies. He was eventually apprehended and imprisoned, but not before gaining a reputation as a loving saviour.

He is reported to have fallen in love with the jailer’s blind daughter while incarcerated. He repaired her blindness and wrote a love letter to her, signing it “from your Valentine,” right before he was hanged. On February 14th, the year 270, something occurred. Two hundred years later, the Roman Catholic Church’s pope declared February 14th to be Saint Valentine’s Day. This is usually thought to be the primary motivation for Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Now it is time to have a look at some cute gifts that you can give to your loved one on this beautiful day.

Flower Bouquets

The biggest reason for giving flowers to someone is that flowers have remained associated with emotions like love, affection, and so on. You can go with any number of flowers in a bouquet. Nowadays, people club different flowers to make them look more aesthetic. The best part is that you have an abundance of options in the market, but be aware that you should know what kind of flowers your partner loves, otherwise you are going to get scolded for not knowing their preferences.

Valentine gift baskets

A gift hamper is one of the best things to give to your companion. You might have come across multiple options, but you should go with something that your partner loves, like bouquets, body care, cosmetics, perfume, and so on in a hamper. If they want to be a little boozy, then a bottle of wine or champagne can find a place in the basket.

The best way to find the right basket is to note down the products your partner loves and then either customise the packet as per your own requirements or go with the one that has some things in it. The elegance with which you will wrap the gift basket can take the heart of your beloved away. Plus, they will definitely post it on their social media stories and flaunt how you made them feel special.

Teddy Bears

Teddy bears, unlike other toys, have the extraordinary ability to create long-lasting memories. If you’re giving a giant teddy bear as a gift for a particular occasion, this would be a fantastic gift to receive and help the recipient remember the occasion. Teddy bears are loved by people of all ages and serve as a reminder of the good things in life.

It is a token of love that can be cherished every time they put their eyes on the gift. To make it more special, you can also have something unique printed on the tag. This idea not only pleases the heart but also pleases the pocket.

Chocolates

If your partner has a sweet tooth, then nothing can be a better gift other than chocolates. You can have numerous options like dark chocolate, white chocolate, rum chocolate, fruit and nuts, and so many more, plus there are so many flavours available.
